Tirupati Balaji Temple

Tirupati Balaji Temple, officially known as Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, is one of the holiest and richest temples in the world. Situated on the seven hills of Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh, India, the temple is devoted to Lord Venkateswara, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who is believed to have emerged in Kali Yuga to save mankind and grant salvation. The temple has a history of over 1,000 years, as references are found in ancient Tamil scriptures and inscriptions of the Pallava, Chola, and Vijayanagara empires.

According to mythological traditions, Lord Vishnu took the avatar of Balaji on earth to save mankind from the hardships of Kali Yuga. The self-manifested idol (Swayambhu) of Lord Venkateswara is magnificently placed in the temple. It is adorned with golden and precious jewels every day. Due to the tremendous spiritual power and divine rituals, millions of pilgrims visit this temple. It is administered by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam trust and is ranked as one of the best temples in the world. It is believed that praying at Tirupati Temple frees pilgrims from karmic troubles and grants them prosperity, marital bliss, professional achievements, and mental peace.
