Asthi Visarjan is a sacred Hindu ritual in which the ashes (asthi) and remaining bones of the deceased are immersed in a holy river This ritual is believed to help the departed soul attain moksha (liberation) and peace. This puja is believed to spiritually purify the holy place at Assi Ghat and wash away sins.
