Rameshwaram Santangopareshwar Puja

Santangopareshwar Puja, also referred to as Santan Gopal Puja, is a pious Hindu ritualistic practice that is conducted to attain the blessings of Lord Krishna in his divine child avatar for childbearing, sound offspring, and family bliss. This potent puja is commonly conducted by couples who are experiencing difficulties in childbearing, pregnancy complications, or seeking the happiness and safety of their offspring. This ritualistic practice calls upon Lord Santan Gopal, the benevolent and protective manifestation of Lord Krishna, who is believed to bestow his devotees with fertility, parental bliss, and familial prosperity.Conducted in the true Vedic manner by competent priests, this puja generates positive spiritual energies that eliminate any kind of progeny-related hurdles and fill family life with bliss, happiness, and divine blessings.

The Santangopareshwar Puja starts with Sankalp, where the priest asks for the names and gotra of the devotees and announces their prayer intentions. Lord Krishna in the Santan Gopal form is invoked using Vedic mantras and prayers. The deity is offered Panchamrit Abhishekam with milk, curd, honey, ghee, and sugar, followed by offerings of flowers, fruits, tulsi leaves, and sweets.

Special Santan Gopal mantras are chanted continuously to invoke blessings for childbirth and the protection of children. A Havan ceremony may also be performed, which is a sacred ritual where ghee and havan samagri are offered to the holy fire with mantras to fulfill wishes. The puja ends with Aarti, prayers for the well-being of the family, and the distribution of prasad, which brings divine blessings, positivity, and happiness to the devotees.
